Oct 2-8th of every year is celebrated as the Wildlife Week and this year Sree Sankara College, Kalady has associated with Malayattoor Forest Division for an exciting lineup of events designed to bring students closer to nature and wildlife. This celebration is more than just an event, it’s the beginning of a journey! Together, we will lay the foundation for future student-scientist initiatives in partnership with the Kerala Forest and Wildlife Department and educational institutions in the region. Principal Prof.(Dr.). Anilkumar M in his presidential address stated the need of Biologist to take up career in Forest Service and to get inspired by the young Civil Servants who have visited our College, for the Wildlife Celebrations 2024. Shri.Kurra Srinivas, IFS, DFO, Malayatoor Forest Division, spoke to students at length about the importance of wildlife and the need to conserve it. He also added that he was very much willing to guide the young civil service aspirants to prepare for civil service exams. Shri. Santhosh Kumar IFS, Asst Dy.Conservator of Forest, spoke about need to be aware of the dangers of the destruction of wildlife and the conservation measure adopted in this region. Conservation Biologist Shri.Arjun C.P engaged a class on Human-Wildlife interaction in the Malayatoor region on the ocassion. The students are now ready to explore, learn and ignite your passion for wildlife conservation. Lets make a difference one step at a times.
