 | Department of Biochemistry is organizing a national webinar on “Coupling protein synthesis with metabolism in quiescent cells” on 10th March 2022. The lecture will be conducted online in Microsoft Teams platform. Dr. Aneeshkumar A G, Faculty Scientist V from National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi is the resource person of the webinar. He is an expert in field of gene expression in eukaryotes with a focus on both detailed biochemical and genomics approaches. The energy and chemical homeostasis of the body is maintained by multiple pathways and the ratio of different macronutrients. There exists a complex interaction network of these pathways, a detailed understanding of these interactions is essential to devise next-generation public health policy regarding nutritional requirements. Recently, genomics and molecular biology tools are found most effective to elucidate the effect of nutrient-metabolic interactions using specific model systems. The session will provide a deep insight into the interaction of nutrition, metabolism and gene expression.
