The NSS unit of Sree Sankara College conducted a hair donation camp in association with Amala Hospital, Thrissur on 21 December, 2021. College students, teachers, non-teachers and the general public donated their hair at the camp. The hair was donated to make wigs for cancer patients. At the behest of the college authorities, students, including boys, who are interested in donating hair came forward to donate the hair they had grown over the years. About thirty people donated hair at the camp. Sri K Karthik IPS Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief formally inaugurated the program. Sri. Karthik pointed out that such good deeds of the students are truly exemplary. Sri. Anuj Paliwal IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Sri B. Santhosh, Circle Inspector of Police, Kalady, Dr. A. Suresh, Principal, Sree Sankara College, Kalady, Sri. CP Jaiasankar, Chief Operations Officer, Adi Sankara group of institutions, Sri PK Sebastian, Coordinator, 'Kesadanam Snehadanam', Amala Hospital, Dr. Biju Thomas, Member College IQAC, Dr. Sreeja S, Coordinator, Sakhi, Dr. Smrithi Asokan, Co-ordinator, Health Club also spoke at the occasion. Dr. Anumol KA and Dr. Manju V. Kumar, NSS Programme Officers led the camp.
