The Research and Postgraduate Department of English, Sree Sankara College, Kalady, Kerala is organizing an International Webinar Series on Digital Narratives.
The first lecture of the series will be delivered by Dr. Shuaib Mohammed Haneef, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Electronic Media and Mass Communication, Pondicherry University. The lecture titled “Narratives in Digital Texts” seeks to provide some thoughts on understanding the intersections of digital narratives, users/readers and the digital space. Primarily, it would try to understand games and hypertext in general, to discuss narrative as it emerges in the act of engagement and reading.

The second lecture of the series will be delivered by Dr. Tof Eklund, a Lecturer at Auckland University of Technology. The lecture titled “Interactive Narrative as Cultural Representation” will centre around eurocentrism in video game development, digital representations of Indian history and folklore, apart from introducing the students to the ways and means of creating one's own interactive narratives.
